This chainmail sleeve was made of flat rings, which were closed by means of wedge rivets (triangular rivets).
This type of braiding is typical for ring armour of the European late Middle Ages. The braiding is 4 in 1.

This type of chainmail sleeve was used in the late Middle Ages and was mainly sewn or attached to clothing.
They are therefore well suited for the representation of the Late Middle Ages.
