Hoplite sword, blunt from Campovalano with scabbard

This replica is a Greek hoplite sword. The place of discovery was the necropolis (burial site) Campovalano in Italy. Originally, this sword can be assigned to the 6th or 5th century BC.

The unsharpened blade, made of steel, has typical central beads on each side. The handle was made of bone plates and steel.

The accompanying scabbard is covered with leather and decorated with brass mouth and guard plates.
