Karfunkel magazine
Karfunkel magazine covers all aspects of history, with a focus on the Middle Ages. Although there are frequent forays into modern times and antiquity, the topics revolve around cultural, religious, social, event-based, everyday, regional, urban and economic history, as well as castle research, biographies, heraldry, archaeology, art history and much more.
Special issues have also been published on specific topics. However, all issues of Karfunkel also keep an eye on what is known as ‘living history’: societies, performers, craftspeople and traders, re-enactments, sewing patterns, recipes, concerts, workshops, jousting tournaments and, of course, a wealth of events.
