Flamberge - Two-handed sword blunt

This sword is a replica. It is to be assigned to the late Middle Ages. The orignal of this sword is in the town hall of Emden.

This sword carries among other things also the designation Flammenschwert or Gassenhauer, since with the very long blades regular alleys were beaten into the enemy lines.

Both a leather-wrapped ricasso and a hardwood handle distinguish this specimen. The blade, made of carbon steel, is blunt and has two powerful parry hooks.

The sword is supplied in disassembled condition. The parry bar is to be screwed on afterwards.
