Great Helmet of the Rieter von Kornburg, Nuremberg at 1375 made of 1.6mm steel - battle ready

This helmet is a replica of a late medieval funeral helmet of the family Rieter von Kornburg from the All Saints Church Kleinschwarzenlohe. The original of the helmet is very well preserved, which is why this Great Helmet can be reproduced very quickly. He is exhibited today in the Germanic National Museum in Nuremberg.

Our reconstruction consists of 1.6 mm thick sheet steel and was produced by hand. The individual steel parts were fastened by brass rivets. On the front of the helmet it was equipped with brass applications which were also fastened by brass rivets.
In addition, he has a chain well from unriveted rings of spring steel.
For the attachment on the head, a comfortable padding inlet as well as a chinstrap from cowhide leather incl. brass buckle, which is size-adjustable, was riveted on.
