High medieval knight's sword blunt with scabbard

This specimen is a replica of a high medieval knightly one-handed sword. The outstanding feature of this sword is the pommel, which is a variation in shape of the paranus pommel and is assigned by Oakeshott to the 13th century.

The sword is handmade without exception. The forward curved guard and the paranut pommel are made of cast iron. The blade is made of spring steel and extends to the pommel to which it was hand-riveted.

The handle section is wrapped with a leather strap. Great elasticity and lightness gives the pronounced gouge of the sword. The blade is not sharpened.

Supplied this sword with a very nice leather-covered wooden scabbard with a steel baffle and a wooden belt loop (for max. 5 cm (2 inches) wide belt).
