Karfunkel magazine
Karfunkel magazine covers a wide range of historical topics, with a focus on the Middle Ages. Although there are frequent forays into modern times and antiquity, the articles explore cultural, religious, social, event-based, everyday, regional, urban and economic history, as well as castle research, biographies, heraldry, archaeology, art history and much more.
Special issues have also been published on specific topics. However, all Karfunkel magazines also focus on what is known as ‘living history’: societies, performers, craftspeople and traders, re-enactment, sewing patterns, recipes, concerts, workshops, jousting tournaments and, of course, a wealth of events.
