Leather gorget made of 2.5 mm (0.1 in) leather reinforced with 1.5 mm (0.06 in) iron plates

This soldie Leather gorget is a replica from the late middle ages.

It was made of 2.5 mm (0.1 in) thick cowhide. The neck area was reinforced at the shoulders, chest and neck with a total of 5 iron plates and a ring of flat iron, which were riveted to the leather with copper rivets.
At the neckline a leather strap incl. buckle was attached, which is adjustable in size.
