Lord of the Rings - fighting knives of Legolas
The fighting knives of the Elf Legolas Greenleaf are officially licensed movie replicas, from The Lord of the Rings, by United Cutlery.
J.R.R. Tolkien's timeless classic, The Lord of the Rings saga, has sold over 100 million copies and has been translated into more than 40 languages. It is widely considered one of the greatest fantasy adventure stories of all time, pitting good and evil against each other in a battle over a magical ring. The trilogy was voted the most popular book of the 20th century and produced into a successful feature film series by New Line Cinema.
United Cutlery, known for replicating movie props, designed these two knives or short swords as exact replicas of those from the Lord of the Rings trilogy. Every detail has been taken care of in these collectibles and high quality materials have been used to give fans the most authentic experience possible.
The blades are made of stainless steel, sharpened and decorated with gold-colored embellishments. The solid American oak handles in tan and gold tones are embellished with elvish vine motifs. The guard (the horizontal guard piece that protrudes from each side of the sword hilt) and pommel (a knob at the end of the sword hilt) are cast metal. The package also includes a decorative wall plate with the emblem of the Greenleaf family and a certificate guaranteeing its authenticity.
