Description

Ranger sleeveless hooded tunic – "Arais" in black

The "Arais" tunic is a sleeveless late medieval-style garment that combines freedom of movement with a simple, dark look. The attached hood and the V-neck at the front, featuring a slit approximately 32 cm long, give the garment its distinctive Ranger character. The shoulders and upper arms are loosely covered by the shoulder section – a cut that works equally well at medieval markets and on LARP sites.

The fabric is 100% cotton and feels comfortable against the skin, even when you spend long hours at an event. A fabric belt in the same colour is threaded through two side loops, allowing for a customised silhouette – close-fitting or loose-fitting, depending on your preference. Combined with leggings, medieval shoes or a leather strap, this creates a harmonious costume ensemble for rangers, forest spirits or simply for anyone seeking a functional, dark look.

In medieval costume culture, the simple tunic was the most widely worn garment across all social classes for centuries. In the late Middle Ages, shorter, more form-fitting variants developed, offering greater freedom of movement and popular with craftsmen, travellers and warriors. The "Arais" draws on this design language and reinterprets it for modern use in the hobby.
