Viking chain with brass hook closure, 60 cm
Old Viking Age finds of delicate chains with chain links give an insight into stylish and practical jewelry. Thus, they were worn as necklaces with pendants or as brooch necklaces, which served to attach items such as tweezers, needle boxes and keys.
Our offered Viking necklace with hook clasp was made of brass. Even though it looks very fine with its chain rings, it is still sturdy. As a necklace, it has a total length of about 60 cm. Through the hook (is included), you can wear the chain but also arbitrarily shorter by simply hooking the hook into another chain link and let the rest of the chain hang down behind. For those who want to wear this necklace as a brooch necklace, the hook or one ring of the necklace can be attached to a brooch and either simply left hanging on one side. Women can also wear the fibula chain as jewelry by hanging the chain on two fibulas -possibly also on a chain distributor- (S-hooks available in our store).
