Gaukonigshofen Witch Festival 2026 – Medieval and Fantasy Market in the District of Würzburg
Broomsticks whizz through the air, mysterious figures wreak havoc, and the scent of mead and flambéed salmon hangs in the air: on 11 and 12 April 2026, the Witch Festival at the fairground in Gaukonigshofen, Bavaria, invites you to a medieval and fantasy market of a special kind.
A colourful world between the Middle Ages and fantasy
The organiser, All 4 You Events from Franconia, is bringing a world full of colour and boundless diversity to Gaukonigshofen in the district of Würzburg. Whether medieval, Viking, witch or fantasy – the events appeal to all generations and combine historical craftsmanship with fantastical worlds.
Programme and attractions
Visitors can expect an exciting programme with fire shows, medieval dances, acrobatics and stilt walking. A lively market with handmade jewellery, forged weapons and fantasy goods invites you to browse. Music concerts create a lively atmosphere, while jugglers and artists entertain the audience. There are numerous hands-on activities and adventures for children.
Opening hours and admission
The Witches' Festival is open on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Admission: £7 for adults, £5 for children over 1 metre tall, family ticket £16 (2 adults + own children). Children under 1 metre tall free.
