Rostock Medieval Festival 2026 – Knights and Jugglers by the Baltic Sea
From 1 to 3 May 2026, the festival grounds at Schmarl-Dorf 40 in Rostock, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, will be transformed into a medieval fairground. The Medieval Spectacle brings knights, merchants and jugglers to the Hanseatic city on the Baltic Sea.
Rostock – a Hanseatic city as a medieval backdrop
Rostock looks back on a proud Hanseatic tradition. With its extensive green spaces and proximity to the River Warnow, the festival grounds in IGA Park offer a spacious venue for the three-day spectacle.
Programme and attractions
The spectacle offers an extensive programme featuring jousting tournaments, foot combat displays, juggling and fire shows. Numerous traders and craftspeople showcase their skills. Medieval music groups provide the atmosphere. At the market stalls, mead, bratwurst and freshly baked bread beckon. For children, there are hands-on activities and knightly games.
Opening hours and admission
The event is open from 10 am on Friday to Sunday. Admission: 3-day ticket: adults €25, concessions €15. Day ticket: adults €15, costumed visitors €10, concessions €10, children aged 5–16 €8. Children under 1.20 m free.
