About The Siege of Eferding, 2026 – Eferding, Upper Austria
From 17 to 19 July 2026, the historic old town of Eferding in
Upper Austria will once again be transformed into a medieval setting. Around the imposing
parish church and along the well-preserved town walls, encampments will
be set up; traders will be selling goods made of leather, wood and clay, as well as jewellery, whilst
jugglers and musicians will provide entertainment for young and old alike.
The Siege of Eferding will take place for the fourth time in 2026, building
on the success of the previous editions in 2022, 2023 and 2025. The programme
includes exhibition fights, craft demonstrations, a fire show and an ecumenical
service on Sunday morning. There will be plenty of food and drink on offer –
ranging from hearty meals to sweet treats.
