Ripaille Medieval Festival – on the shores of Lake Geneva, in a regal setting
On 16 and 17 May 2026, Ripaille Castle in Thonon-les-Bains (Haute-Savoie) will host its Médiévales, a weekend of historical immersion in one of the most elegant estates on the shores of Lake Geneva. This Gothic castle, founded in the 15th century by Amadeus VIII of Savoy – the future antipope Felix V – provides an exceptional setting for this event.
From 10am to 6pm on both days, medieval shows, historical re-enactments and a craft market will take place to the rhythm of knights, musicians and street performers. Visitors can explore campsites with people in period costume, demonstrations of traditional crafts and activities for families, all set within a remarkably wooded estate offering an unforgettable view of Lake Geneva.
