About Loreley jousting tournament and Easter market
Knights' tournament and Easter market Loreley 2026 – Medieval spectacle high above the Rhine
Where the legendary Loreley once captivated sailors, the last knights on earth gather for a tournament. From 4 to 6 April 2026, the famous rock plateau in St. Goarshausen, Rhineland-Palatinate, will be the stage for an unforgettable medieval spectacle – with knight tournaments, market life and Rhine romance.
Lance jousting with a view of the Rhine
Twice a day, the herald calls the warriors to the tournament field for jousting on horseback. In shining armour and on noble horses, the knights engage in thrilling duels – from the end of the tournament field, there is a magnificent view of the Rhine. The theatre troupe Zeter und Mordio brings the legend of the Loreley to life, while bands such as "Mucker Pazza" provide historical sounds.
Market and entertainment
A colourful medieval market unfolds between around 60 stalls and tents. Merchants offer jewellery, leather goods and garments for sale, while taverns and food stalls tempt visitors with hearty dishes and historical drinks. Jugglers and minstrels provide entertainment for young and old alike.
