Grand medieval fantasy festival at the Grand-Place in Mons
From 3 to 5 April 2026, Mons' Grand-Place and its surroundings will be transformed into a world combining the Middle Ages and fantasy for the Trolls & Legends festival. For more than twenty years, this extraordinary Belgian event has attracted tens of thousands of visitors from all over Europe to celebrate medieval culture, fantasy, folklore and arts and crafts.
The programme combines spectacular street performances, parades of mythical creatures and characters in sumptuous costumes, combat scenes, discovery workshops (calligraphy, blacksmithing, archery, cosplay) and a huge craft market offering jewellery, leather goods, silks, pottery and fantasy items. Children are at the heart of the programme with areas dedicated to storytelling, historical games and creative workshops. The evenings are reserved for concerts and night-time shows.
