About Viking festival at the Kiessee Schildow
Viking Festival at Schildow Gravel Lake 2026 – Nordic warriors camp outside the gates of Berlin
From 17 to 19 April 2026, the Vikings will set up camp at the idyllic Schildow gravel lake in Muehlenbecker Land, Brandenburg. The Viking Festival, organised by Cocolorus Diaboli, transports visitors into the world of Nordic seafarers and warriors – right on the outskirts of Berlin.
Viking camp by the lake
An authentic Viking camp with tents, fire pits and craft demonstrations will be set up around the picturesque Kiessee lake at Lessingstrasse 48. The natural venue with its shady trees and shimmering water creates a special atmosphere reminiscent of Scandinavian coastal landscapes.
Programme and attractions
Experienced performers will demonstrate the life of the Vikings – from blacksmithing and wood carving to weaving and dyeing. Exhibition fights with swords, axes and shields demonstrate the martial arts of the Northmen. Skalds tell stories from Norse mythology, while music groups create the right atmosphere with drums and ancient sounds. For children, there are hands-on activities such as archery and axe throwing.
