Immenstadt Castle Festival in the Allgäu 2026 – The Middle Ages with a view of the Alps
From 4 to 6 June 2026, Immenstadt in the Allgäu, Bavaria, will be celebrating its Castle Festival at the Immenstadt Castle Ruins. Against the backdrop of the Allgäu Alps, visitors can look forward to an atmospheric medieval weekend.
Immenstadt Castle Ruins
The Immenstadt Castle Ruins tower above the small Allgäu town and offer a stunning view of the surrounding mountains and Lake Alpsee. The ruins, with their ancient walls, are a popular setting for festivals.
Programme and attractions
The castle festival offers a varied programme: jousting tournaments, medieval music, juggling and craft demonstrations. Historical goods and Allgäu specialities are on sale at the market stalls. There are hands-on activities for children.

Opening hours: Thursday 10am–8pm, Friday 4pm–1am, Saturday 12pm–midnight. Admission: Adults €7, children free, costumed visitors receive a discount.
