Sulzberg Castle Festival 2026 – The Middle Ages at the castle ruins in the Allgäu
From 17 to 19 July 2026, Sulzberg in the Oberallgäu, Bavaria, will be celebrating its Castle Festival at the Sulzberg Castle Ruins. Nestled in the rolling hills of the Allgäu, the castle ruins in 87477 Sulzberg provide an atmospheric backdrop.
Sulzberg Castle Ruins
The Sulzberg Castle Ruins tower above the village of the same name in the Oberallgäu and offer sweeping views across the Alpine foothills. The remains of the medieval castle provide an atmospheric setting for the festival.
Programme and Attractions
The castle festival features a medieval market, show fights, music and crafts. Historical goods and Allgäu specialities are on sale at the market stalls. There are hands-on activities for children.
