About Tannenburg Castle Festival
30th Tannenburg Castle Festival 2026
On Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 September 2026, the Friends of Tannenberg Association (Freunde des Tannenberg e.V.) will be organising the 30th Castle Festival at Tannenburg Castle near Nentershausen in Hesse. The festival combines the castle, a medieval market and a knights’ encampment; a military camp will be set up in the Wilhelmstal valley.

Saturday from 12:00 to 21:00
Sunday from 11:00 to 17:00
Admission
Day ticket: Adults €8 / Children €4 / Family €20 Weekend
ticket: Adults €12 / Children €6 / Family €30
Children under the height of a sword: free
According to the organiser, all proceeds raised by the association go towards the upkeep and restoration of the castle. The castle festival is funded by the Hessian Ministry of Science and the Arts as part of the ‘LandKulturPerlen’ programme.
