Fantasy Festival on Lake Constance – LARP, Medieval and Gothic combined
From 7 to 9 August 2026, Das Grosse Treffen (The Great Gathering) will take place on the grounds in Aach on Lake Constance in Baden-Württemberg – a unique cultural festival that breaks down the boundaries between live role-playing, medieval markets, the gothic scene and steampunk. Das Grosse Treffen is an open festival for anyone who wants to celebrate their imagination and style without having to belong to a single subculture.
The programme includes LARP areas with battles and quests, a large medieval market with craftsmen, blacksmiths and traders, gothic and darkwave concerts, and steampunk performances. Workshops on costume making, martial arts and historical dance complete the programme. In the evenings, the festival transforms into a large marketplace of alternative cultures with a campfire atmosphere and concerts until late in the evening.
Day tickets are available from around £9, making the event one of the most affordable multi-genre festivals in southern Germany. Friday is open from 12 noon to midnight, Saturday from 10 a.m. to midnight, and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
