The Sigmaringen Medieval Market will take place from 11 to 13 September 2026 in the town centre and castle grounds of Sigmaringen, Baden-Württemberg. This well-established event transforms the picturesque town into an authentic medieval spectacle featuring craftspeople, artists and historical re-enactors.
The market opens on Friday at 5 pm and closes at midnight. On Saturday and Sunday, it is open from 11 am to 7 pm. With these extended opening hours, the event allows both day trippers and overnight guests to take part.
Admission prices are tiered according to age group and costume. Adults aged 15 and over pay €10 on Friday and €13 on Saturday and Sunday. Children aged 7 to 14 benefit from reduced prices: €6 on Friday, €7 on Saturday and Sunday. Those arriving in authentic medieval costume receive specially marked prices. Families with two adults and up to two children under 14 pay €22 on Friday, €29 on Saturday and Sunday.
The event takes place in Sigmaringen, a historic town near Lake Constance. The atmospheric setting, featuring Sigmaringen Castle, provides the perfect backdrop for an authentic medieval experience. Visitors can explore the entire castle grounds and take part in craft demonstrations, musical performances and culinary delights.
The range of goods on offer includes textiles, ceramics, jewellery, weapons and historical household items. Several stages provide entertainment featuring music, theatre and juggling.
