The 35th Hova Knights’ Week – nine days of jousting tournaments in Gäsene
From 25 July to 4–12 July 2026, the 35th Hova Knights’ Week will be held in Högemyr, Hova, Gäsene, Västra Götaland. Hova Knights’ Week is one of Sweden’s oldest and most beloved medieval events – nine days of jousting, a medieval market and knightly culture for the whole family.
For almost ten days, the crowds gather for thrilling jousting tournaments where knights on horseback face off in lance-throwing and sword-fighting. The market offers crafts, food and historical artefacts from around a hundred stallholders. Musicians and street performers entertain throughout the day, whilst the plays and dramatic elements make the weekend a complete medieval experience. The festival’s 35th anniversary marks another highlight, with an extra programme planned.
