From 6 to 12 July 2026, Kirkel Castle in Saarland invites you to its Castle Summer. For one week, the castle ruins in 66459 Kirkel will be transformed into a lively medieval world of adventure for the whole family.
Kirkel Castle – Holiday programme
Kirkel Castle in the UNESCO Bliesgau Biosphere Reserve offers a special programme during the summer holidays. The castle ruins become the stage for daily medieval events and workshops.
Programme and attractions
The Castle Summer offers daily hands-on workshops, craft demonstrations, jousting tournaments and a children's programme. For children, there is archery, sword fighting training and historical crafts.
