MPS Bad Saeckingen 2026 – Medieval Fantasy Spectaculum in the Castle Park on the Upper Rhine
On 25 and 26 April 2026, the legendary Medieval Fantasy Spectaculum (MPS) will be held in the castle park in Bad Saeckingen, Baden-Württemberg. As one of Europe’s largest travelling medieval festivals, the MPS brings a vast array of music, juggling and market bustle to the charming spa town on the Upper Rhine.
Bad Saeckingen – Trumpet Town on the Rhine
Bad Saeckingen is known for the longest covered wooden bridge in Europe and its romantic castle park. The extensive park right on the Rhine provides the perfect setting for the colourful hustle and bustle of the MPS – amidst ancient trees, meadows and the murmur of the river.
Programme and attractions
The MPS is renowned for its unique blend of live music across multiple stages, juggling, fire shows and jousting tournaments. Numerous bands perform medieval rock, folk and minstrel music. There are also over 100 market stalls offering crafts, jewellery, costumes and culinary delights. For children, there are dedicated areas with games, craft stations and jousting tournaments.
