About Knights' tournament at Easter Rabenstein Castle
Easter jousting tournament at Rabenstein Castle in 2026 – a spectacle in the Hohen Fläming region of Brandenburg
When the knights polish their armour and take their horses out of the stables, Easter at Rabenstein Castle is just around the corner. From 3 to 6 April 2026, the venerable castle complex in Rabenstein/Fläming, Brandenburg, invites you to a grand Easter spectacle with a knights' tournament – one of the most traditional medieval events in eastern Germany.
Knights' tournaments on horseback
The centrepiece of the spectacle is the legendary knight tournaments in the tournament arena in the castle courtyard. Four daring warriors from near and far compete against each other on their fiery steeds – in jousting, sword fighting and archery. Spectators can watch the battles three times a day at 11 a.m., 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. The absolute highlight of each tournament day is the spectacular fire riding show at 6 p.m.
Medieval market bustle
A colourful medieval market unfolds around the castle. Minstrels such as "The Sandsacks" present sounds on shawms, bagpipes and drums. Visitors can try their hand at archery, felting, woodturning, blacksmithing and carving. For the little ones, there is a historical children's carousel, crossbow shooting and stories from the storyteller. Traditional Easter customs and ring dances round off the programme.
Opening hours and admission
The Easter Spectacle is open daily from Friday to Monday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Admission is €18 for adults and €12 for children. Concerts and fire shows take place in the evenings.
