Stralsund Wallenstein Days 2026 – A historic town festival on the Baltic Sea
From 23 to 26 July 2026, the traditional Wallenstein Days will take place in Stralsund, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. The UNESCO World Heritage Old Town at Heilgeiststrasse 64 in 18439 Stralsund will commemorate the failed siege by Wallenstein in 1628 – with free admission.
Stralsund – Hanseatic city and World Heritage Site
Stralsund is one of the most beautiful Hanseatic cities on the Baltic Sea. The historic old town, with its brick churches, town hall and merchants’ houses, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Wallenstein Days commemorate the successful resistance against Wallenstein’s siege.
Programme and attractions
The Wallenstein Days offer a packed programme: historical parades, re-enactments of the siege, a medieval market, music and theatre. The entire old town becomes a stage for this historical spectacle.
