About Fête Médiévale de Pérouges
Pérouges Medieval Festival – 300 performers in one of France’s most beautiful villages
On 13 and 14 June 2026, the medieval town of Pérouges (Ain, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes) – listed among the Most Beautiful Villages of France – opens its ramparts for its Medieval Festival. Its cobbled streets, houses with arcades and medieval slate roofs make Pérouges one of the most authentic settings for reliving the Middle Ages.
For two days, from 10am to 10pm, over 300 performers take over the town: troubadours, acrobats, jugglers, dancers, musicians, fire-eaters and street theatre companies fill every alleyway. Shows scheduled until 9 pm allow visitors to enjoy the medieval atmosphere in the evening. Families will appreciate the children’s entertainment, and history enthusiasts the re-enactment camps.
