About Les Seigneuriales de Coucy
20th edition of the Seigneuriales at Coucy Castle
On 25 and 26 April 2026, the majestic ruins of Coucy Castle (Aisne, Hauts-de-France) – one of the most imposing Gothic fortresses ever built in France – will host the 20th Seigneuriales de Coucy. Twenty years after the first edition, this anniversary promises an exceptional programme.
Saturday from 2 pm to 10.30 pm, Sunday from 11 am to 6 pm: a medieval market, jousting tournaments, falconry displays, costumed processions and historical re-enactments will punctuate the weekend. Saturday evening concludes with a fireworks display. Medieval craftsmen and merchants set up their stalls against the striking backdrop of the castle’s ramparts and keep, whose walls once rose to a height of nearly 35 metres.
Coucy-le-Château-Auffrique Castle, partially destroyed during the First World War, remains one of the most atmospheric medieval sites in Picardy.
