Tønsberg Viking Festival
The Tønsberg Viking Festival will take place from 6 to 9 August 2026 at the Tønsberg Harbour Front (postcode 3100). Tønsberg is one of Norway’s oldest towns with a rich Viking history. The harbour front provides a fitting venue for Viking-themed events, offering views of the water and a maritime atmosphere.
The four-day festival spans the weekend plus Monday, covering four full days. August is the height of summer, offering pleasant conditions for outdoor activities. The harbour location allows for specialised programming such as ship and boat reconstructions, as well as maritime trade simulations.
