Cold Steel® Spike series

The Spike series neck knives from Cold Steel® are slim, lightweight and extremely durable. These neck knives feature razor-sharp blades made of cryo-treated German 4116 stainless steel with a so-called Zero-Ground grind and heavily fluted, textured handle scales that are ergonomic and ensure a comfortable and firm grip.

The integrated parry elements keep the index finger and thumb from sliding forward toward the blade and remain protected, while the deeply textured surface of Griv-Ex™ provides excellent grip even in cold, wet and slippery hands.

These bolster knives are available in four different blade styles (Bowie, Drop Point, Tanto and Tokyo). They offer all the toughness of a one-piece solid steel construction, yet remain light enough to be carried effortlessly all day long.

For even better storage and security, each Neck Knife in the Spike collection comes with a Secure-Ex® sheath. The Spikes are extremely lightweight (knife and sheath together weigh about 85 g!) and can be comfortably worn around the neck 24/7. A black ball chain is included as a carrying strap. Thanks to the design of the sheath, which is compatible with the Tek-Lok™carrying system, the knives can also be worn on the waistband or belt.

Rust-free 4116 knife steel
4116 steel is a fine-grained stainless knife steel. It is often used for pharmaceutical equipment and for high quality kitchen knives. Its balanced carbon to chromium ratio provides both premium rust protection and great strength. Very fine, extremely sharp cutting edges are sharpenable. An excellent choice for outdoor / hunting knives and kitchen knives and utensils.
