Like all other folding knives in the Blur collection, the Navy Blue Blur is equipped with a generously proportioned blade that is perfect for a wide range of cutting tasks thanks to its light recurve grind. And this shape gives it not only great cutting ability, but also excellent piercing properties. The Sandvik 14C28N high-performance stainless steel used for this purpose features corrosion resistance and excellent edge retention. The stonewash finish gives the blade an attractive roughened or worn surface that conceals scratches and fingerprints.

The handle is made of durable anodized 6061-T6 aluminum, an aluminum sometimes referred to as airplane aluminum due to its widespread use in the manufacture of aircraft parts. Its main advantages include its light weight, extremely high durability, and the fact that it can be colored - when anodized - allowing Kershaw to produce colorful handles with scratch-resistant, extra-durable finishes. For extra-secure grip, the handle scales have been fitted with anti-slip inserts made of Trac-Tec grip tape. An inset liner lock provides secure locking of the blade during use.

The Blur is equipped with the SpeedSafe® opening mechanism and can thus be effortlessly opened with one hand. Briefly pushing the thumb stud forward overcomes the resistance of the torsion bar spring in the SpeedSafe mechanism. The SpeedSafe then takes care of the rest and the blade can be quickly and easily extended from the handle. The convertible pocket clip is designed for both tip-up and tip-down carry, and a hole in the handle allows a lanyard to be attached.
