Pocket knife Kershaw XCOM

Military knives have a long history behind them and many fans. Yet they tend to be uncomfortable and clunky to carry and use on a daily basis. Kershaw and knifemaker Les George offer a solution by taking inspiration from a classic U.S. trench knife design from World War II and transforming it into a handy folder.

Like the combat knives of the past, the XCOM features a symmetrical spear point blade that is great for piercing and cutting. A bayonet grind complements the old-school theme of the XCOM. But Kershaw also had legal concerns in mind. The XCOM's quality 8Cr13MoV steel blade is sharpened on only one side, making it safer, easier to close and legal in more areas. The large 9.2cm blade opens manually with a built-in thumb pin.

The convenient and comfortable handle fits a variety of hand sizes, from larger to smaller. The XCOM's grooved handle is made of rugged, all-weather, glass-filled nylon and features a hand guard near the blade to prevent slipping. The exposed liner on the back of the blade has a notch for better cutting control. An inserted liner lock securely holds the blade open during use and easily closes when you're done.

The XCOM features a convertible deep pocket clip so the knife can be carried unobtrusively deep in your pocket. But you can also loop some paracord through the large lanyard hole to make your knife stand out more.
