In the USA, Recon 1®series knives enjoy great popularity among military, police and rescue workers as well as civilians. In the world of tactical knives, they set new standards and well deserve their reliable and strong reputation. Recon 1®knives are available in various blade lengths. When designing them, each of their components was engineered to make them as durable and powerful as possible. All models in this multi-faceted collection are equipped with Cold Steels® world-renowned Tri-Ad®locking mechanism, which provides optimal protection for your precious fingers even under the most adverse conditions.

The Recon 1 is equipped with a G-10 handle with a small, particularly robust pocket clip. For left-handers, it should be noted here that the clip is quite ambidextrous. Also, thanks to its small size, this clip will not scrape or irritate the palm of your hand, even with extended use of the knife. With its heavily ridged surface, the artfully shaped handle provides fantastic grip. And for the most convenient opening, each knife is equipped with a thumb disc.

2018 model - The Recon 1® Tanto Point with blade made of S35VN steel and DLC coating replaces the no longer produced predecessor model made of CTS® XHP (item no. CST-27TLCT).

CPM S35VN Steel
This is an exceptional American super steel. CPM S35VN is not only extremely tough and durable, but also grinds very well to razor sharpness and holds that sharpness for a long time. With its uniform microstructure, this very fine-grained powder steel offers consistent, good properties: durable, reliable, highly resistant to corrosion, tough and hard even with thinly ground edges. A good, versatile steel for top quality knives and tools.
