High late medieval dark brown gauntlet boot with three leather straps and brass buckle replicas.
The upper leather nestles nicely after being greased, yet is extremely sturdy. Medieval boots like this one are found in numerous late medieval paintings and have also been found many times. Gauntlet boots appeared in the fading late Middle Ages, but were worn with variations until the 18th century.
