Author Shannon Burns has a PhD in social psychology, but in her spare time she runs Silvousplait, one of the most influential YouTube channels on hairstyling tutorials for film and television. She specializes in videos and pictorials in which she shows do-it-yourself tutorials and explains hairstyles from films and series such as Game of Thrones, The Lord of the Rings, Vikings and Star Wars. Since her internet hair adventures began in February 2013, her tutorials have been featured on HBO Watch, mtv.com, BuzzFeed and the History Channel.
