About the author

Chelsea grew up in a rural area in upstate New York surrounded by cows, which is why she developed a love for small farms at an early age. However, she found her true love when she spent a year in Turkey, where she developed a passion for both food and history. An artist and fantasy fan, she has a great fondness for foreign languages, treasure hunts and anything to do with honey. Like her favorite literature, her own work is an interplay of imagination and historical research. She specializes in bringing fantastical worlds to life through her cooking creations, photography, art and digital media. She currently lives in an old house in Vermont with her husband, two children, and an assortment of pets.
