Chainmail collar (bishop's collar) made of riveted rings, aluminium, Ø 8mm

This chainmail collar (or bishop's collar) consists of aluminium rings riveted (round rivets) throughout. The braiding is 4 in 1.
Due to the aluminium, the weight of this chain collar is not so high, in contrast to the chain collars made of steel.
At the neck 2 size-adjustable leather straps are riveted, which make it easier to put on and take off.

It is designed to protect the neck, shoulders, upper chest and back. It was already popular in the 15 - 16th century.
