Chainmail collar (bishop's collar) made of unriveted rings, Ø 8mm

This chainmail collar (or bishop's collar) consists of rings that are not riveted throughout. The rings have been burnished (blackened) and therefore offer a certain protection against rust. The braiding is 4 in 1.
2 size-adjustable leather straps are riveted to the neck to make it easier to put on and take off.

It is intended to protect the neck, shoulders, upper chest and back. It was already popular in the 15 - 16th century.
