With its 7.5-inch (approx. 19-cm) blade, this fillet knife (7.5-in. Fillet) is the ideal size and is exactly the knife that every angler should always have with them. If you were allowed to own only one fillet knife, then the right choice would probably be a model with this blade length, which is perfect for fish of various sizes. For example, it is optimal for filleting sea bass or small trout, but can also handle smaller as well as larger fish if need be.

The razor-sharp blade is made of 420J2 stainless steel, a quite durable steel that has a very high corrosion resistance (a particularly important criterion for use in humid or wet environments) and can be easily resharpened. In addition, this steel has just the right amount of pliability to facilitate filleting, preserving the delicate flesh of the fish and preserving its delicate flavor.

The handle, made of durable fiberglass-reinforced nylon, is overmolded with rubber and its surface is finished with Kershaw's exclusive K-Texture™. This texture (a repeating pattern of the letter K, as seen in Kershaw's company logo) provides the grip you need and an all-time secure grip, even when your hands are slippery.

For proper storage of this filleting knife with K-Texture™, a blade guard is included.
