Heavy hand-woven blanket made from 100% sheep's wool.

No more freezing! This wonderful, hand-woven woollen blanket will keep you warm even in freezing temperatures. Made from 100% pure new wool from sheep, the blanket is the perfect companion for camp life.

Great care has been taken to ensure authentic manufacture, making them perfect replicas of the originals from the Middle Ages. The sheep's wool blankets have also convinced us personally of their skill.

The production

The blankets are made for us by a family business in the Maramures Mountains, which has been traditionally making these blankets by hand for generations. Because of the pure handwork, each blanket is unique.

They are made as in the Middle Ages on old looms, which are about 70 cm wide. This means that the blankets are not made of one piece, but are sewn together from several pieces. They are woven very densely, which is why the blanket has a proud weight of about 3.5 kg (1150 grams per square metre).

The wool comes from the production company's own sheep in the Maramures Mountains. It is washed exclusively with spring water, which preserves the natural wool grease. The grease makes the blanket resistant to dirt and allows water to roll off. This means that even a small rain shower will not harm you.

The white and grey wool is not dyed. The coloured stripes, on the other hand, are dyed with natural colours such as onion skins.
