Longtime Cold Steel®customers may remember the original Bush Ranger, a fixed-point field knife designed by Lynn C. Thompson from years past. Among its distinctive features was an extremely comfortable handle. Mike Wallace has taken this knife as inspiration and created a folding field knife that is great in the hand and allows for extended use without fatigue.

The Bush Ranger is ideal for hunters or survivalists looking for a pocket knife that, while relatively lightweight, is a true workhorse. Although it was designed primarily for tough off-road use, it also makes an excellent EDC knife and is easy to carry in your jeans or cloth pants pocket for everyday use. If you like having multiple carry options to choose from, the Bush Ranger offers plenty of options: It features a lanyard loop and a convertible pocket clip, and also flips open right when you pull it out of your pocket, thanks to Andrew Demko's patented thumb disc. In addition, the Bush Ranger is equipped with Cold Steels® Tri-Ad®-Lock - the strongest and most operationally reliable pocket knife lock on the market. Thus, your fingers always remain safely protected, no matter what task is to be done.

With its approx. 9 cm long Sheffield clip-point blade made of American S35VN steel and its CNC-milled handle made of G-10, this first-class pocket knife will serve you faithfully for many years.

CPM S35VN steel
This is an exceptional American super steel. CPM S35VN is not only extremely tough and durable, but also grinds very well to razor sharpness and holds that sharpness for a long time. With its uniform microstructure, this very fine-grained powder steel offers consistent, good properties: durable, reliable, highly resistant to corrosion, tough and hard even with thinly ground edges. A good, versatile steel for top quality knives and tools.
