What you will notice first when looking at the Leek pocket knife with composite blade is just... the composite blade. The wavy line that runs the length of the blade is the plumb line that connects the razor sharp, edge retention D2 tool steel cutting edge and the Sandvik 14C28N stainless steel spine.

Next, you'll notice Kershaw's new BlackWash™ finish. This finish is reminiscent of the worn look of a favorite pair of jeans that you just can't part with. And you'll probably feel the exact same way should you ever get to call one of these Leeks your own.

With this combination of two types of steel, Kershaw has created a blade that not only looks cool, but also offers the best of both steel worlds. The lower section uses D2 steel - a high carbon and chromium steel that is extremely sharp to grind and incredibly durable to cut. The upper section is made of Sandvik 14C28N high performance stainless steel. With a composite blade like this, the material-specific advantages of each steel grade can be brought out to their best advantage.

Like the other folding knives in the Leek collection, this model features an approximately 7.6 cm blade, a slim, carry-friendly design and great versatility of use. With its modified drop-point blade, it's great for cutting, but the narrow blade tip also gives it good piercing properties and is exceedingly handy for fine work.

Like the other Onion* knives, the Leek is equipped with the ambidextrous SpeedSafe opening mechanism. Whether you're left- or right-handed, simply press the protruding flipper or slide the thumb stud forward and the blade is ready to use.

This Leek model also features a pure stainless steel handle that also has a BlackWash™ finish to match the blade. Reliable handling is ensured by an extremely stable frame lock, which ensures that the blade is securely locked when open, and a tip lock slider, which holds the blade firmly in position when the Leek is folded shut.

The convertible pocket clip is designed for both Tip-Up and Tip-Down carry, and a hole in the handle allows a lanyard to be attached.
