The popular Scallion is now available in a beautiful new color: olive drab or O.D. green. If you're looking for a folding knife that shows some color while maintaining an understated look, this model could well be the one for you.

Like all models in the Scallion family, this knife, with its approximately 6 cm blade, is the ideal size and weight to be carried comfortably in your pocket. And the fact that it's small doesn't mean by any means that it won't be able to handle just about any task you might throw at it - from shredding cardboard boxes to slicing apples for in-between meals.

The blade is made of 420HC high carbon stainless steel for good edge retention and excellent corrosion resistance. It features a glass bead blasted finish that gives it a matte look and is also easy to clean. To achieve this discreet olive green color, the aluminum handle scales are anodized. Thanks to this process, which makes it possible to coat aluminum in any color imaginable, Kershaw is able to produce handles with colorful, scratch-resistant finishes.

Like the other folding knives in the Scallion collection, this model is equipped with the ambidextrous SpeedSafe opening mechanism. This system allows you to open the blade one-handed, which is an added advantage when you're out in the wild. Simply press the protruding flipper or push the thumb stud forward and the blade can be extended from the handle and is ready to use in an instant.

For optimal safety, the Scallion with olive green handle is double locked: A liner lock keeps the blade securely locked when open, so it can't accidentally fold shut during use. It also closes smoothly after use. And when the Scallion is folded closed, a tip lock slider holds the blade firmly in place, making it impossible to accidentally open during transport.
