Often multitools are equipped with a myriad of individual tools, many of which are actually only conditionally useful. Even worse is the fact that in many of these multitools, the indispensable knife blade is given only secondary importance - so that it is often barely useful. Not with the Select Fire.

In the design of the Select Fire multitool, the focus was placed on its function as a knife. In terms of design, the knife blade - which can be opened manually - forms the central element. And this blade simply does a good job. Since it is made of 8Cr13MoV stainless steel, it is robust and has a high cutting durability. It has also been glass bead blasted - giving it a matte finish that is less susceptible to dirt. As if that were not enough, the Select Fire offers an amazingly comfortable handle that ensures safe handling - which, unfortunately, cannot be said of many multifunction tools.

But the Select Fire, designed by Grant & Gavin Hawk, is also a practical multitool. The equipment includes a set of 4 screwdriver inserts (Bits) including a fold-out bit holder. The inserts (two slotted and two Phillips screwdriver bits) are housed in two small magazines integrated into the handle, which can be swung out and effortlessly snap back into place after you have removed the appropriate bit. Black circuit boards complete the sleek overall look. Whether you use the Select Fire as a pocket knife or as a screwdriver, the contoured handle of fiberglass-reinforced nylon is equally comfortable in your hand.
