Proudly, the SRK® (Survival Rescue Knife) has been one of the established flagship products from the Cold Steel®range for over 25 years now. In the U.S. military, this fixed knife enjoys great popularity and is still the standard knife of the Navy SEALS for their combat swimmer training. So it's hardly surprising that custom knifemaker Andrew Demko was inspired by the Cold Steel® SRK® when Cold Steel® commissioned him to develop a luxury tactical pocket knife for military use.

The SR1 features Andrew's signature minimalist style. It features no superfluous flourishes and simply stands out for its purely functional, straightforward, utilitarian design. The SR1 and SR1 Tanto are designed for heavy duty use. With their premium American CPM S35VN powder steel blades, both are heavy-duty workhorses designed to withstand the toughest, most unforgiving environments.

Since, after all, a good blade needs a good handle, the handle scales of the SR1 are made of high-quality G-10. The heat-treated steel blanks are inlaid into the handle scales (so-called nested liners). The handle is equipped with an integrated lanyard loop, features a coarsely textured surface that provides optimal grip even in cold or wet conditions, and is masterfully contoured to provide a comfortable, secure grip - even when you're wearing thick gloves.

For increased operational safety and worry-free use, Cold Steels® Tri-Ad® locking mechanism. Still second to none in terms of impact and shock resistance, this locking mechanism has proven itself time and time again capable of withstanding the toughest of tests, making the SR1 the ideal survival and rescue knife.

CPM S35VN Steel
This is an exceptional American super steel. CPM S35VN is not only extremely tough and durable, but also grinds very well to razor sharpness and holds that sharpness for a long time. With its uniform microstructure, this very fine-grained powder steel offers consistent, good properties: durable, reliable, highly resistant to corrosion, tough and hard even with thinly ground edges. A good, versatile steel for top quality knives and tools.
