Franciscan monk's habit set "Alanus" - with separate cowl
The monk's habit is a traditional garment in which the color is assigned to a specific order: the Franciscans wear a brown habit, the Benedictines a black one. It is a simple yet comfortable garment that can be worn on many occasions. Our monk's robe is wider at the bottom due to a wedge on both sides, which makes wearing and walking in this monk's habit outfit comfortable. The brown monk robe is ankle-length and has generously cut long sleeves. Made from 100% cotton, the monk cowl is comfortable to wear but not too heavy.
The set includes a light-colored rope belt, also made of cotton, which gives the brown monk's habit a more fitted look and could also be used to attach a leather pouch, for example. The opening of the cowl is designed to fit almost all heads - important to know: the cowl is not firmly sewn to the robe and can therefore be easily removed. This is good if you want to take off some of your clothes on a warm summer's day or if you don't want to wear the costume just once. Because without the gugel, you can easily create the outfit of a wizard, for example. With the matching accessories, the set of habit, cowl and rope belt can be used for several outfits. So whether for medieval representations, historical performances or, of course, LARP, carnival, Halloween or cosplay - the possible uses are numerous!
