Description

Children's Viking dress Solveig, long sleeve, blue / nature

This loose-fitting dress is made of sturdy cotton fabric (canvas). The slit neckline is closed with a fiddle or worn open, depending on your preference. It is delivered with a fabric belt.

The cut of the dress is based on archaeological finds dated to the 9th and 10th centuries. Typical for this period are long dresses with cuts that were mainly composed of rectangles and triangles, so as to use as little fabric as possible.
Fragments have been found in Skjoldehamn, Birka and Haithabu that show the cut. The dress is therefore an authentic garment for all Vikings.
