Description

Our medieval padded gambeson is directly inspired by the Maciejowski Bible dated from the middle of the 13th century. It was a favored form of protection for footmen, spearmen, and crossbowmen, relying primarily on heavy gambeson as their chief protection. This replica has a thick buttoned collar protecting your throat. It supports the immense mobility of the arms, thanks to the carefully tailored armpit.

It has two layers of sturdy canvas, sandwiching a layer of proper padding. This makes it a REAL MEDIEVAL GAMBESON, contrary to most flimsy replicas made of synthetic outer and inner layers. We provide this gambeson in six distinct sizes for the perfect fit when donned. A detailed size chart is attached with the photographs.
